Everybody’s like, “She's no item.”
Well, not everybody … just the one I thought I needed
So I looked for a copy
He was someone that I needed even when he would THOT me
He was someone that I heeded cause he told me he “got me”
And it was something in the fact that he was my only poppy
But even though I was his blood, it was like he forgot me
Got me out here looking’ crazy,
Like, I’m all on my Rocky (Adrian)
… but “Tandeace” was the name that they gave me, like
The verdict to the crime of abandonment
Never felt like “daddy’s girl,” man I swear on it
Until my Father on High came and scooped me in
Then He changed my life, cause He called me His

So, I’m walking in His light, and His Word as Truth
It’s year 12, and through it all, even bearing His fruit
Got a running prayer list, but He stay at the root
So I make my requests, but I trust what He choose
Like what more can He do?

Then He did it …
Changed my name.
Said I still had “daddy issues” and now “mommy” ones too
But that I was now His princess and that this would be proof
When I ask Him why I mattered, man I felt like a fool
I just knew they’d call me “insane,”
Or say I’m acting “brand new,”
“As if God need you” …

He rebuked …
“I don’t need you,
